Learn How to Sleep Less and Better Tonight

What do you do before you go to bed? 80% of us do one thing, can you guess what it is? We eat.

It might be an apple or it might be Wendy's. Either way it is affecting the way you sleep at night.

The problem: Although you might not feel it, when you eat your stomach goes through a long process of both digesting it and making the food into energy. Without food we would have no energy, so it goes without saying that eating is crucial to our daily well-being. We know that we need to eat, but when should we eat? It is much more important to eat at the right times than you may think. By eating at the right time every night we can make ourselves fall asleep easier and fall asleep more soundly.

The solution: So by now you should realize how important it is to eat at the right time to ensure a great sleep. So when should we eat than? Our stomach takes around 2 hours to digest food. So a general rule is to not eat anything 2 hours before going to bed. But 2 hours is a long time right? 2 hours is a very long time when your just sitting on the couch craving potato chips. To solve this problem I've made a little chart to help you determine what you can eat before you go to bed and how it will affect you and your sleep.

Potato chips = 1 hour before bed
Fruit = 1 hour before bed
Vegetables = 30 minutes before bed
Anything deep fried (Fast food or microwavable foods) = 2 hours before bed
Pop = 1 hour before bed

Hopefully this covers the basics of what you should be eating before bed, you can drink water as much as you want.

This has helped me cut my sleeping time from 9 hours to just 6 hours. You would be surprised how the little things affect the way you sleep, so please try these. They will work, and maybe even make you healthier ;)
