What Causes Snoring and How You Can Stop It

I want to explain to you what causes snoring and how you can stop it. A lot of people out there snore themselves to sleep each night. Typically the spouse in the bed next to them or a person in another room are going nuts each night because they can't get any sleep. I think a lot of people struggle with this problem is because it happens only when you're unconscious. It's not like you hear yourself when you're sleeping, nor can you tell yourself to stop doing it. It is a very challenging problem for a lot of people and I want to shed some light on it. I'm going to show you what causes snoring and how you can stop it.

When it comes to the cause of snoring, it really is just this loose piece of tissue at the back of your throat. When you're sleeping on your back and you're breathing in your mouth, this tissue gets in the way of the airflow and it will cause the snoring sound. There could be various reasons why that tissue is more susceptible to snoring than with other people. There is the belief that this tissue gets inflamed and more likely to cause the problem.

Now that we know what causes snoring, we can address how to solve it. The most obvious solution is to stop breathing in your mouth. If you breath in your nose, the air path isn't restricted by this tissue and everything is fine. Sometimes that is hard while you're asleep, so the easy solution is to remain on your on of your sides while you sleep.
